Accreditations

Being an integral part of the orthotics and prosthetics field means being active members in associations that study, approve and provide standards for our industry. Below are the organizations to which we continue to subscribe for accreditation and membership to. 

ABC Facility Accreditation
The American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics, Inc. (ABC) is a national certifying and accrediting body for the orthotic, prosthetic and pedorthic professions. ABC standards create a minimum expectation for the physical environment and organizational function of orthotic, prosthetic and pedorthic patient care providers. 

ABC and BOC Accredited Employees 
American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics, Inc. (ABC) and Board of Certification/Accreditation, International (BOC) certified individuals are considered leaders in the profession and provide the highest quality patient care, along with excellence in research and device design. 

AAOP
The American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AAOP) is dedicated to promoting professionalism and advancing the standards of patient care through education, literature, research, advocacy, and collaboration.

ACPOC
The Association of Children's Prosthetic-Orthotic Clinics, ACPOC, is a multidisciplinary professional organization striving to be the primary resource for prosthetic and orthotic care for children and adolescents with orthopedic impairment through team collaboration, education, and research.

AOPA
American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association works towards favorable treatment of the O&P industry in laws, regulation and services. They help members improve their management and marketing skills; and to raise awareness and understanding of the industry and the association.

NAAOP
National Association for the Advancement of Orthotics and Prosthetics advocates for the Orthotics and Prosthetics industry by representing the interests of the O&P patient and practice communities. They focus on championing causes concerning patient access, funding, and outcomes through leadership in national and state government. 

VOPA
The Virginia Orthotic & Prosthetic Association (VOPA) is committed to providing high quality, unprecedented business services to privately owned O&P business and professionals. VOPA has worked diligently to establish themselves as the voice for O&P businesses. VOPA works to raise awareness of the profession and impact policies that affect the future of the O&P industry.
